1st Shift, Monday-Friday 7AM-3:30PM with required O/T on some weekends

Requirements and

Qualifications:

• 4+ years experience as a toolmaker preferred.

• This position requires experience as a die toolmaker forming dies; semi-permanent dies; and completing layout work.

• This position must be familiar with short run stamping tooling through progressive dies.

• Ability to lift 50lbs.

• Standing for long durations of time.

• Use hands and fingers to operate hand tools.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands and fingers to handle, feel, or operate objects, tools, or controls and reach with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to stand, talk, and listen.

The employee must be able to use a computer, phone, and standard office equipment daily.

• Plans, designs, constructs, or repairs a wide variety of intricate and complicated tools, dies, jigs, gauges, fixtures, to close tolerances.

• Performs some difficult development work. Constructs complex units where design is available.

• Selects allowances and devises mechanism detail. Does skilled fitting, timing, and adjusting.

• Performs difficult tool room machine operations. This includes CAD/KEY, CNC lathe and other technologies (as these technologies exist or arise) required to perform tool room operations.

• Works from complicated drawings and sketches. Uses advanced shop mathematics and all types of precision measuring instruments. Requires high degree of experience and trade skill and thorough knowledge of machine shop practice.
