Adecco is assisting a major client in their search for a Materials Specialist in Minneapolis, MN. This is a contract opportunity, offering weekly pay and a chance to expand your experience. Monday – Friday (2:00pm – 10:00pm) - Weekly Paycheck
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Responsible for raw material and non-stock receipts, finished goods distribution and the coordination of material movement between warehouse and production areas.
- Responsible for inventory management and inventory control metrics in a 24/7 shop environment.
- Pulling material from warehouse for shop use and ensuring material is issued to correct location with all necessary information: position, serial number, removal reason, service sheet.
- Daily performing cycle counts to find and correct inconsistencies in inventory on hands.
- Weekly managing stockouts, including obtaining updated estimated times of arrival for completely stocked out parts or parts low on stock.
- Forecasting material needs for inbound and in-shop locomotives and pulling in any needed material in the timeliest and cost efficient manner.
- Arranging LTL and Expedite shipments using the Ryder portal as well as ensuring correct paperwork is attached to all shipments and correct BOLs are used for proper billing.
- Effectively using multiple software programs to order, receive, ship, and track material to and from the warehouse.
Candidates must meet the following requirements to be considered:
- High School Diploma/GED
- 2+ years working in a logistics or shipping/receiving environment
- Experience with Inventory Management
- Experience safely operating forklifts and other shop equipment
- Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations

Pay Details: $20.00 to $25.00 per hour
