Your Purpose

As a Laminator Operator, you will be responsible for the setup of the laminating machine, performing safety checks, and ensuring the proper materials are in place. You will operate the laminating machine, maintain the rollers and materials, read and interpret job tickets and specifications, input the correct settings, monitor equipment, and troubleshoot any problems that arise during operation of the laminating machine.

Responsibilities
  • Set-up & run high quality product at optimum speeds without supervision
  • Load and unload rolls on/off the press with proper labeling and tracking
  • Quality checks of every roll to maintain adhesive weights
  • Inspect glue – ensure it meets specifications
  • Clean up machine and maintain a high level of cleanliness to keep the machine operable
  • Secure laminated rolls together and secure the rolls to a pallet for shipping
  • Responsible for the condition of machine and work area
  • Work safely at all times
  • Maintain housekeeping standards
  • Basic Standup Pallet Jack operation
  • Technical capacity and troubleshooting
  • Quality control analysis and record-keeping
  • Communicate effectively with team
Required

Education and Experience
  • High School diploma or GED
  • Ability to maintain quality, safety, and/or infection control standards
  • Ability to read and write English
  • Ability to understand and follow safety procedures
  • Knowledge of equipment operation and/or maintenance
  • Ability to prepare routine administrative paperwork
  • Ability to read, sort, check, count, and verify numbers
  • Ability to lift and manipulate heavy objects
  • Ability to perform simple arithmetic
  • Ability to detect problems and report information to appropriate personnel
  • At least 2 years of experience directly related to the duties
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex issues with equipment operation
  • Capable of multi-tasking production operations
Physical Demands and Work Environment
  • Continuous (6+ hours/day) bending, pushing, pulling, climbing stairs, reaching, lifting, and grasping
  • Continuous (6+ hours/day) talking, listening, and repetitive motion
  • Continuous (6+ hours/day) standing and walking
  • Frequent (1–3 hours/day) work in a stooped position
  • Good eyesight and normal hearing
  • Ability to move and lift objects, frequently 50 lbs
  • Climate-controlled facility with potential vibration and loud environment; exposure to moving mechanical parts, cleaning solvents, and heights
Position Type/Hours

This is a full-time position on rotating 12-hour shifts (day 6am–6pm; night 6pm–6am). Shifts and hours may vary based on production requirements and business cycle.

Travel

Travel is not required for this position.
