Description
Read and analyze assembly prints and specifications, and plan machine building operations. Fit and assemble components according to specifications and test for conformance to specification and operation. Align components for assembly and assemble parts using hand tools. Verify conformance of parts to blueprints using measuring instruments. Assemble, set up and operate machines to verify functioning, machine capabilities and conformance. Form and fasten pneumatic and hydraulic lines, fixtures and attachments required to service machines with air, water and oil.
May install wiring and electrical components to specifications. Debug assemblies and machines by identifying and correcting problems affecting proper operation. Fabricates and modifies parts as required. Layout hole locations: drill and tap holes on parts for assembly. Set up and operate metalworking machines to fabricate or modify parts. Perform installation, debug, repair and other field service duties that require off-site travel.

- Education
:
Associates or better in Manufacturing Technology or related field. - Experience
:- Required:
4-6 years;
Experience in machining or machine building. - Preferred:
Working knowledge of pneumatic systems.

Knowledge of fits, tolerances, alignment of mechanical components, and an understanding of actuators as well as mechanical functions and systems. Ability to read solid models and drawings. - Licenses & Certifications

Salary range
: $29 - $33 per hour
