Salary Range: $20.00 To $25.00 Hourly

Mid-Continent Engineering is seeking a Mechanical Assembler to join our team! This position will help support the masking/part marking department, as needed.

This is a 1st Shift- 6 am to 4:30 pm, Monday through Thursday opportunity.

Mid-Continent has been a supplier to first-tier OEMs within the medical, aerospace and defense industries for decades. Mid-Continent Engineering supplies the armed forces supply chain with products such as precision machining, aerospace welding, chromate conversion, paint/powder coat finishing, mechanical assemblies, and other design‑assist services.

Under limited supervision, assembles mechanical parts or units and mask/part mark parts. This person must have the ability to position, align, and fasten units to assemblies, subassemblies, or frames using adhesives, hardware, hand tools, and power tools.

• Assignments can range from moderately complex to complex.
• Refers to blueprints and specifications to assemble, modify, rework, or reassemble parts/units.
• Assures and maintains a consistent, acceptable level of individual quality and productivity performance.
• Masking and part marking when additional support is needed.
• Maintains a safe, clean organized work area.
• May be required to work in other departments and assist in training new employees.
• Ability to use computers to log in and out of jobs & work in computer software—ERP Software – Epicor.
• Ability to set up and operate all equipment in the department, such as rivet machines, punching machines, etc.
• Able to perform work with little to no supervision and to meet or exceed project deadlines.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• High School Diploma or G.E.D. preferred.
• 3 to 5 years of assembly experience working in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, written instructions, and processing.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, use hands, fingers, feet, and arms to reach. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.

Employees must be able to cope with Minnesota climate variances, endure heat & cold conditions in the shop. Endure heavy workloads and high noise levels from hammering and grinding (hearing protection provided). Protect against metal particles, fumes, sparks, particles, and gases (safety glasses, safety-toed boots, ear plugs, and gloves provided per the company policy guidelines).

All office personnel must abide by the PPE guidelines (safety glasses, safety-toed boots) when entering the production floor or if a requirement of a department that they are entering or working in.

1st Shift- 6 am to 4:30 pm
- Monday through Thursday.
