Position Summary
The Production Supervisor is responsible for the daily operations of manufacturing production in Banner’s Brooklyn Park, MN facility for the 2nd shift (3 pm - 1:30 am, Monday - Thursday). This is a hands‑on position that is expected to participate in and have detailed knowledge of all supervised functions for the scheduled shift.
This position reports to the Production Manager.
According to the FLSA (Fair Labor Standards Act), this position is classified as:
- Exempt, based on Professional Exemption
What You’ll Be Doing
- Supervise production employees
- Maintain appropriate staffing levels and manage the interview and hiring process in conjunction with the Human Resources department
- Monitor and review performance daily to ensure productivity goals are met‑ coach employees to improve productivity while maintaining a positive work environment‑ organize necessary corrective action for improvement as needed
- Effectively communicate company and plant information with employees
- Work with all 2nd shift personnel to summarize shift outcomes and compile into an e‑mail at end of shift
- Spends time in all production lines to understand the processes in detail. Acts as a troubleshooting resource for shift issues that arise
- Ensure employees are effectively trained.
- Ensure adherence to all safety, quality, and production standards
- Open and close the facility when necessary.
- Other duties as assigned

Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Business or operations‑related field OR
- Associate’s degree in Business, Operations, or related field with 5 or more years of experience.
- In lieu of a degree, 7 or more years of experience in a production environment
- 3+ years of experience in successful management of hourly employees
- Experience in PCBA, sub assembly, and finished good electronics manufacturing processes
- Thrives in a fast‑paced environment with the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently, either through independent or team‑based work approaches
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, specifically using Pivot Tables
- Oracle experience is strongly preferred.

Leads a team of 30-50 direct reports dependent on business needs
