The Production Lead supports and assists production management by providing daily people scheduling, priorities, and training directions for production employees in various databases. This position is also responsible for initial troubleshooting of production issues and communicating these issues and potential improvements to Management.
Major Areas of Accountability- Coordinate daily production needs that address safety, quality productivity.
- Monitors the standard of work within assigned area
- Ensure employees follow all applicable procedures
- Direct employees workflow and monitor work assignments to achieve daily production schedules
- Assist with establishing priorities, problem solving and setting goals in production.
- Communicates team needs and makes recommendations to Management
- Assures workflow between stations and/or departments, providing parts, supplies and tools as needed.
- Document jobs through manufacturing procedures
- Troubleshoot minor issues and elevate larger problems to appropriate members and/or cross functionals team members
- Ensure employees are adequately trained to perform the work assignment
- Training and certify employees when necessary
- Participate in continuous improvement.
- Evaluates systems, processes, or procedures and makes recommendations for improvement. if necessary.
- Investigate and/or implement production changes
- Support other departments as needed; such as Warehouse on cycle counts, Quality on root cause investigations and Engineering on process changes.
- Serve as a resource to others in the resolution of complex problems and issues
- Demonstrate the understanding and applied 6s Lean manufacturing in workplace

- High School diploma or equivalent
- 5+ years of Medical device manufacturing experience is preferred
- Previous Lead experience is preferred Experience working in a manufacturing environment, preferably medical device manufacturing experience
- Preferred basic knowledge of an ERP system

- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs independently and up to 75 lbs with assistance
