Position: CNC Turning Center Programmer / Operator jobs-in Minneapolis,MN,US

Job Role s and Responsibilities

Program CNC turning centers using Mastercam, including live tooling and sub-spindle operations.

Set up and operate CNC lathes and turning centers to manufacture precision mold components and low-to-mid volume production parts.

Perform manual lathe operations for custom, prototype, or specialty components.

Complete final fit and finish work to meet exact engineering specifications.

Perform drill press operations including drilling, tapping, and chamfering.

Use precision measuring equipment such as micrometers, calipers, optical comparators, and Vision CMM systems.

Conduct and document in-process inspections to ensure quality standards are met.

Read and interpret CAD drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.

Maintain extremely tight tolerances and dimensional accuracy.

Assist with mold assembly, maintenance, and repair activities as needed.

Lift and carry materials weighing up to 25 pounds on a regular basis.

Stand and work for extended periods in a manufacturing environment.

Maintain regular and reliable attendance.

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.

Support continuous improvement and productivity initiatives.

Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Required Qualifications

Associate degree from a Technical College or equivalent hands-on experience.

Strong experience operating CNC turning centers.

Proficiency in Mastercam programming.

Experience with live tooling and sub-spindle machining operations.

Manual lathe experience required.

Ability to read and interpret CAD drawings and blueprints.

Knowledge of precision measurement and inspection techniques.

Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.

Strong organizational and time management skills.

Ability to meet production schedules and deadlines.

Self-motivated with strong attention to detail.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.

Experience machining mold components and precision tooling.

Machine shop experience in a tooling or mold manufacturing environment.

Experience with mold assembly, maintenance, and repair.

Strong understanding of high-precision machining and tight-tolerance manufacturing.
