CNC Milling Machine Lead-Day Shift-Experienced
ARCH - Minneapolis is looking for a CNC Milling Machine Lead to join our team! If you are looking for an opportunity to coach and develop other machinist while still being hands on as a working lead this may be the next career for you!
In this role you will focus on determining work assignments and resolving issues for the team, train other machinists, provide leadership to inexperienced machinists, maintenance requests, safety incident reporting, manage production schedule and machine high-quality parts on a timely basis to meet customer demands and at times performing set-ups, modifying, and creating programs, and operating various types of CNC Machines.
Primary responsibilities include leading production in the CNC Milling area, managing daily priorities, participating in daily production and GEMBA meetings, monitoring CNC Machinist productivity, planning and coordinating workflow with other departments, supporting company policies, interviewing and evaluating applicants, setting up and operating a variety of CNC equipment, leading process improvement efforts, ensuring employees are performing and documenting in-process QA inspections, labor entry, and safety near miss/injuries, and managing and maintaining a clean and organized department.
Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED equivalent, U.S. person status due to contractual requirements, at least 5 years' relevant experience in a machining environment, minimum of 2-year previous supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment, contract manufacturing experience highly desirable, proven ability to work in a fast past work environment, knowledge and understanding of ERP system and Microsoft office suite, ability to read blueprints, use micrometers, calipers, and other QA gauges, ability to set up and operate machine tools, and ability to program machine tools.
