Equipment Maintenance Technician

We are looking to hire a full-time Equipment Maintenance Technician at Minneapolis Glass in our brand new 115,000 sq ft facility to be the expert in maintaining a wide variety of glass and metal machines. We are expanding our maintenance program by adding a second technician.

This position earns a competitive union rate up to $38.50/hr. and is eligible for daily overtime after 8 hours. This is a first shift operation with a predictable work schedule of 7:00am - 3:30pm. If this sounds like the right opportunity for you, apply today!

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF AN EQUIPMENT MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN

You will be responsible for performing general machine installation, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance for the plant equipment. You will have an opportunity to operate glass and metal fabrication equipment to learn how to best maintain them and ensure high quality production.

You will be a key member of a highly collaborative and seasoned professional team. You will perform start-up and debug new equipment. Document technical procedures for changes to machines. You will establish a preventative maintenance program and train machine operators and other plant team members on machine maintenance and optimal operation. Your ideas matter and will be key to continuous improvement for Minneapolis Glass.

KNOWLEDGE,

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:

• 3 - 5 years experience in maintenance within an industrial or manufacturing setting
• 2
  -3 years machine operating experience in glass fabrication preferred
• Solid understanding of schematics, diagrams, and equipment & controls manuals
• Must be physically capable of lifting 75 lbs. unassisted; standing, bending, stretching
