About the RoleAs a Leather Stockroom Associate, you’ll be the backbone of our inventory management and shipping operations. You’ll work closely with our creative team to ensure seamless product flow, from receiving raw materials to preparing finished goods for shipment. Your meticulous attention to detail and ability to handle physical demands will be essential to our success.
Responsibilities- Inventory Management:
Accurately receive, inspect, and organize leather hides and other materials. - Maintain accurate inventory records, both physically and digitally.
- Conduct regular stock checks and report discrepancies.
- Implement and adhere to inventory control procedures.
- Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC):
Inspect incoming and outgoing leather for defects, inconsistencies, and adherence to quality standards. - Document and report any quality issues to the appropriate team members.
- Ensure all products meet our high standards before shipment.
- Shipping & Fulfillment:
Prepare and package orders for shipment, ensuring proper labeling and protection. - Generate shipping labels using Ship Station software.
- Coordinate with shipping carriers for pickups and deliveries.
- Maintain a clean and organized shipping area.
- General Stockroom Duties:
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe stockroom environment. - Assist with general stockroom tasks as needed.
- Assist the creative team as needed.
- Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. - Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Ability to bend, stoop, and reach.
- Previous experience in a stockroom, warehouse, or similar environment preferred.
- Forklift experience is a plus.
- Proficiency in using inventory management systems and shipping software (experience with Ship Station is a plus).
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Reliable and punctual.
