Location: Minneapolis, MN
Duration: 6-momth W2 contract
Description:
These Technicians are responsible for a variety of exciting activities related to developing products and technologies.
You will be involved in the efficient operation of the lab, general housekeeping, ensuring a safe work environment and will independently perform tasks as outlined by the supervisor/manager.
Responsibilities:
- Performing basic paint making processes and creating formulations that meet manufacturers specifications
- Working with various powder coating technologies including, Epoxy, Hybrid, PET TGIC/HAA, and Urethane product types
- Assists with developing reports and documents detailing test, project, and overall results.
- Comply with test methods according to set standards.
- Function with sustained supervision and write simple reports, outlining procedures used and the results obtained.
- Complete proper forms and documents when necessary.
- Comply with all safety and security regulations and maintain a clean work area.
- Communicate with internal as well as external customers.
- Manage work in accordance of timeline goals.
- Adhere to company safety and quality standards at all times.
- Seek assistance on priorities for scheduling work.
- Verbally communicate routine information to supervisor and others in platform.
- Recognize routine requirements and selects proper, simple procedures for obtaining desired results to solve problems.
Required Skills:
- Knowledge of basic math skills
- Computer knowledge for basic inputting, communication and data analysis
- Familiarity with scientific principles, products and/or processes
- Must be able to communicate verbally and in writing.
- May work in areas where toxic, flammable, and hazardous materials are present.
- Employee must be able to tolerate non-toxic paint odors and be able to wear a respirator as required.
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
- Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
- 1-4 years of experience in a laboratory preferred.
