Laser Operator MN

This position is responsible for creating parts based on stipulated guidelines by operating Amada Laser equipment. The ideal candidate should have five years of operating a Laser experience in manufacturing environment. Prefer candidates should have an associate degree in related field or a combination of equivalent education and experience.

• Responsible for maintaining a clean and safe work environment, assuring the safety of employees, and reporting any unsafe areas or acts in the workplace.
• Follow proper procedures and instructions to ensure quality and safety.
• Able to perform laser cutting operations.
• Knowledge of selecting proper cutting programs.
• Ability to make proper set-ups for cutting operations.
• Establish and adjustments of proper stop location and laser beam focal points.
• Perform both visual and dimensional inspections to quality standards.
• Ability to read blue prints, math skills and process information and record all data.
• Being able to detect defective materials and report questionable conditions.
• Good oral and written communication skills; ability to communicate, read and comprehend information effectively.

Work is physically demanding, plus concentration and communication is essential.

Education:

Prefer High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED) with minimum one year work related experience or training or equivalent combination.

• Knowledge of basic arithmetic.
• Knowledge of basic algebra and geometry
• Production and processing knowledge pertaining to raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture of product.
• Mechanical aptitude concerning machines and tools, including their design, use, repair, and maintenance. (Level III, IV)
