About the Role
As a Mechanical Assembler, you'll work hands-on building mechanical assemblies, preparing panels for finishing, and supporting multiple departments through cross-training. You'll use a variety of hand and power tools, read blueprints, and help ensure every product meets high quality standards. WhatYou'll Do
- Mechanical Assembly — Build mechanical components using drills, wrenches, screwdrivers, torque tools, and tape measures.
- Blueprint Interpretation — Read and follow blueprints to complete accurate, high-quality assemblies.
- Panel Preparation — Install insulation, hang parts, and prepare panels for painting and finishing.
- Packaging & Verification — Package completed assemblies and verify correct parts and quantities.
- Cross-Training — Support multiple departments and expand your skill set through hands-on learning.
- Shop-Floor Mechanical Work — Perform tasks similar to automotive or oil-change environments.
- Maintain a clean, safe workspace in a metal manufacturing setting.
- Lift and move materials up to 50 lbs as part of daily work.
- 6+ months of mechanical assembly experience
- Ability to read blueprints and measure accurately
- Confidence using hand and power tools
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving mindset
- Ability to lift 50 lbs regularly
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience in automotive, oil-change, or similar mechanical environments
- Comfort working with metal components
- Willingness to cross-train and learn new processes
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

You'll work in a hands-on metal manufacturing environment — fast-paced, physical, and safety-focused, similar to an auto body shop. The shop is non-union.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Brooklyn Park, MN.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.50 - $20.50/hr.
