OverviewWe are seeking a reliable, safety-focused Forklift Operator / Material Handler to join a well‑organized metal distribution team. In this role, you will play a key part in maintaining production flow by loading and unloading trucks, supplying materials to production, and preparing outgoing shipments.

- Operate a sit‑down forklift to safely load and unload trucks.
- Pull materials from inventory and deliver to production based on work orders.
- Stage and prepare orders for shipment with accuracy and efficiency.
- Handle large and irregular metal materials safely and carefully.
- Organize and maintain material inventory within the warehouse.
- Perform general material handling duties including moving, stacking, and staging products.
- Assist with shop support tasks such as cleaning and maintaining work areas.
- Follow all safety procedures when operating equipment and handling materials.
- Coordinate with team members to ensure efficient material flow and timely truck loading.
- At least 1 year of recent sit‑down forklift experience.
- Minimum 6 months of warehouse or material handling experience.
- Experience loading and unloading trucks using a forklift.
- Ability to safely handle large or awkward materials.
- Capability to lift up to 75 lbs occasionally.
- Strong understanding of forklift safety and warehouse procedures.
- Ability to work independently and maintain consistent productivity.
- Experience in metal distribution, fabrication, or manufacturing.
- Experience supporting general labor or shop operations.
- Willingness to learn additional skills, including basic machine operation.

- 2nd Shift: Monday – Friday, 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM.
- Two paid 15‑minute breaks.
- Training: 1–2 weeks on 1st shift (6:00 AM – 2:30 PM).

Job Type & LocationContract to Hire position based out of MINNEAPOLIS, MN.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $19.00 – $21.00 per hour.
