Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ensure that all guards are in place.
- Conscientiously work toward running a safer and cleaner operation.
- Inform the supervisors of any maintenance problems or suggested changes to equipment.
- Set up and operate machines as directed by shift Supervisor per procedures and work instructions.
- Must be willing and able to become qualified on the following job classes:
- Straightener Operator (030)
- Furnace Assistant (031)
- Tank Operator/ Auto Push Pointer (045)
- Push Point Operator (051)
- Saw Operator (053)
- Pay progression will be given in steps as an employee qualifies for each job class.
- Must be able to use gauges and measuring devices to make quality checks as needed.
- Assume responsibility for the quality of the product run.
- Inform Manager/Supervisor of any maintenance problems or production problems as soon as possible.
- Efficiently and accurately fill out required paperwork.
- Assumes various other duties at the direction of the shift supervisor.
