The Chemical Handler is responsible for supporting wafer manufacturing operations by managing and delivering chemicals safely and accurately. This role ensures proper chemical flow to production tools, responds to alarms, and troubleshoots issues to maintain uninterrupted factory operations. The position requires independent judgment, adherence to safety protocols, and the ability to work without direct supervision.
Key Responsibilities- Perform chemical changes on manufacturing tools according to established procedures.
- Set up and verify chemical delivery units to ensure correct chemical flow.
- Respond promptly to tool alarms and troubleshoot minor issues to restore functionality.
- Operate and maintain chemical delivery systems and related equipment.
- Collect and manage chemical waste in compliance with EHS guidelines.
- Handle hazardous materials safely following company and regulatory standards.
- Escalate issues as needed and collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams.
- Work independently during shifts, sometimes as the sole team member on site.
- Maintain accuracy and productivity, subject to weekly performance monitoring.
- Inventory Control Tasks:
- Cover materials spares crib as needed.
- Perform cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy.
- Issue out materials to production as required.
- Receive and inspect incoming goods for quality and compliance.
- Ability to follow detailed written procedures and safety protocols.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Comfortable working with hazardous materials and wearing appropriate PPE.
- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions under minimal supervision.
- Forklift operation certification or experience.
- SAP or similar ERP system experience for inventory management.
- Basic mechanical aptitude for troubleshooting equipment.
- Strong organizational skills for inventory control.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Technical training preferred.
- Experience in chemical handling or manufacturing environment is a plus.
- Ability to lift and move chemical containers safely.
- Standing and walking for extended periods.
- Compliance with all EHS and company safety standards.
