Weimer Bearing & Transmission is seeking an entry level machinist to join our growing Minneapolis team, part of our ISC Division.
We specialize in high-tech mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical motion control products and services, supporting major manufacturing and maintenance companies across a wide range of industries. Responsibilities- Operate saw and make sure all material is cut and prepped for CNC machines
- Run already setup CNC lathes/mills (with ability to learn more about programming)
- Run manual mill/lathes
- Small assembly work as needed
- Broach keyways and press bearings as needed
- Use forklift to move material off trucks and move scrap bins
- Use crane to load material onto racks and the auto saw
- 40 hours a week minimum
- Good attendance
- Machining related schooling is a plus but not required
- CNC operating on Haas mills/lathes a plus but not required
- Good work ethic
- Must know how to read a tape measure and dial caliper (will be tested in interview)
- Ability to lift 50lbs, bend, twist
- Manual machining on lathes and mills a plus but not required
