Job Summary
40 hours per week with no overtime. This lab technician role includes measuring accurately with a scale, weighing and pouring materials, operating somewhat complex equipment, following safety and work instructions, keeping the workplace clean, and applying strong reading, testing and observational skills.
Responsibilities- Accurately record results and observations related to batch making, sample preparation, and panel testing.
- Spray or apply coatings to small test panels.
- Measure properties of wet paint samples and coated panels.
- Assist in the application lab with more complex application techniques.
- Communicate information to the project leader.
- Perform routine paperwork for ordering chemical samples and formula samples.
- Make paint samples using equipment.
- 2 years of post‑secondary education.
