JOB DESCRIPTIONThe purpose of the Shipping Clerk is to lead daily processes related to Shipping and Receiving at the Minneapolis Roofing and Asphalt Plant.
Here is a brief outline of this role- Safely navigating the shipping yard
- Understanding Client s products
- Utilize SAP to enter and print information
- Check-in trucks
- PGI Trucks leaving
- Maintain standard housekeeping of the warehouse and lift trucks
- Maintaining a safe workplace
- High school diploma or GED and be at least 18 years old.
- Ability to work independently or in a team atmosphere with minimal direct supervision.
- Experience in manufacturing, but not required.
- Motivation to learn and advance as an Owens Corning employee.
- Climb and descend stairs/ladder as needed for the role
- Do repetitive movements (hand, arm, leg; bending and twisting at the waist; bending at the knee; squatting; lift, push and pull 40-pounds)
- Withstand exposure to temperature extremes; sounds or noise levels that may be uncomfortable
- Handle, control and feel raw materials and finished goods
- Able to execute repetitive movements
