Manufacturing Assembly Operator (Medical Devices)
This position is responsible for the production of high-quality medical devices within a manufacturing cell. Working under close supervision, the employee may perform a combination of assembly, repair, and test operations on pacemakers, implantable cardioverter defibrillators (ICDs), leads, and related medical device assemblies. Performs routine assignments according to specified and/or standardized procedures. Work is closely and continually reviewed.
Key responsibilities include ensuring that relevant job documentation for cell operations and functions is accurate and up to date, clearly communicating ideas, problems, and solutions to all levels of manufacturing management, maintaining a positive attitude when interacting with internal and external customers, following safety guidelines and utilizing appropriate safety devices, participating in continuous improvement/quality initiatives, maintaining accurate records, demonstrating a basic understanding of lean manufacturing, supporting divisional initiatives, reading and following written procedures, utilizing electronic data collection systems and computer software packages, prioritizing work, handling and maneuvering small components and parts, and making critical decisions and judgments with minimal supervision.
Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, ability to read, comprehend, and follow written procedures, ability to understand and follow verbal instructions, entry-level assembly aptitude, and medical device experience is a plus.
