What you’ll doFrom first piece to final inspection, you’ll take ownership:

Set-up Swiss CNC machines and confirm/verify appropriate tooling for machining and manufacturing operations

Operate Swiss CNC machines to keep production on schedule

Complete tool changes and maintain stable processes

Perform quality inspection on completed parts using micrometers, calipers, pressure micrometer, and a microscope

Apply preventative maintenance to ensure consistent machine performance

Troubleshoot production problems and implement corrective actions

Read, write, and adjust CNC programs as needed; clearly communicate operation/machine activity requirements to operators

What sets you apart

Set-up experience with Swiss CNC machines

Operator experience with Swiss CNC machines

Strong math background (machine/shop math preferred)
Deep understanding of GD&T and the ability to read and interpret prints

Experience using a microscope

Proficiency with measurement equipment including micrometer, caliper, and pressure micrometer

Experience machining medical components, devices, or instruments

Proven success holding tight tolerances

Programming experience with Swiss CNC Machines Experience in troubleshooting of Swiss CNC Machines Familiar with Citizen and Tornos equipment

Able to read and write CNC programs (as needed)
Skilled at communicating operation/machine activity requirements to operators

Previous experience in the medical manufacturing industry is a plus

Education

High School diploma or equivalent

Diploma in a machining related course from a technical or trade school or equivalent experience
