Plymouth, MN Job Type: 12-Month Contract Pay Rate: $16.00 – $17.00 per hour Shift: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM

Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Tissue Specialist I to support the manufacturing of advanced structural heart devices in a cleanroom production environment. This role involves precision assembly, fine sewing techniques, and working with specialized tools and equipment to ensure products meet strict quality and regulatory standards. The ideal candidate will have excellent hand-eye coordination, strong attention to detail, and the ability to perform delicate, repetitive tasks with accuracy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assemble sewn structural heart devices according to established manufacturing procedures.
  • Perform precision sewing using sutures and needles under microscope magnification.
  • Operate small hand tools, calibrated instruments, measuring equipment, microscopes, and test fixtures.
  • Inspect and verify materials to ensure compliance with design specifications and quality requirements.
  • Support product testing, verification, validation, and continuous improvement activities.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and follow all manufacturing, quality, and regulatory procedures.
  • Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and maintain workflow efficiency.
Required Qualifications & Skills
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to perform precision-oriented tasks.
  • Excellent fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.
  • Ability to perform intricate sewing using needle and suture techniques.
  • Comfortable working under a microscope for extended periods.
  • Experience with small tools and measurement equipment.
  • Previous cleanroom manufacturing experience is preferred.
  • Ability to follow detailed written procedures and quality standards.
Education & Experience
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.
  • 0–2 years of relevant manufacturing, assembly, medical device, or precision production experience preferred.
Work Environment
  • Work performed in a controlled cleanroom manufacturing environment.
  • Requires strict adherence to contamination control and quality procedures.
  • Involves repetitive fine motor activities and extended periods of focused, detailed work.
