CNC Mill Operator – 3‑Axis Machining | Aluminum | Long‑Run Production
Join a clean, well‑maintained, and growth‑focused machining department where you'll operate CNC Mills, perform daily blueprint reading, complete basic tool changes and offsets, and ensure high‑quality aluminum parts. What You'll Do- Operate CNC Mills with a primary focus on 3‑axis machining
- Read and interpret blueprints daily to determine machining requirements
- Perform basic tool changes and offsets with training provided for more advanced setups
- Deburr finished parts and conduct quality checks to ensure accuracy and consistency
- Operate a CMM machine to verify dimensional accuracy
- Support long‑run production with opportunities to learn setups, offsets, and tooling adjustments
- 2+ years CNC operation experience
- Blueprint reading proficiency
- Experience with inspection tools including micrometers, calipers, and gauges
- High school diploma
Skills & Qualifications
- Machining degree (nice to have)
- Clean, well‑maintained shop with modern equipment and strong safety standards
- Low turnover department, with openings primarily due to retirements
- Clear growth opportunities into setups, offsets, and advanced machining
- Supportive team environment focused on training and long‑term development
- Compact hydraulic power units with AC/DC motors, gear pumps, reservoirs, internal valving, load‑hold checks, and relief valves
- Frequent exposure to oils, cleaners, coolants, and moving equipment
- Mandatory PPE: eye protection, steel‑toe safety shoes with slip resistance
- Clean, air‑conditioned manufacturing environment
- Standing all day with consistent machine interaction
- Loud areas requiring hearing protection
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Minneapolis, MN.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $24.00 - $28.00/hr.
