Mechanical Assembler / Manufacturing Operator B

What You'll Do
- Review job packets and work instructions to understand materials, steps, and specifications.
- Gather parts and tools needed for assembly and testing.
- Assemble mechanical components and sub-assemblies with precision.
- Perform washing, finishing, deburring, grinding, and other mechanical processes.
- Complete rework and repairs to meet quality and performance requirements.
- Inspect products using visual checks, automated measuring tools, and final test equipment.
- Operate machines and test stands safely and accurately.
- Document production and quality results, including scrap tags and required forms.
- Identify and escalate issues to the Line Lead or Supervisor.
- Support Engineering with troubleshooting and process improvements.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Wear required PPE at all times.
- Contribute to daily production goals and team metrics.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support production and quality.
What You Bring
- Experience using hand tools and power tools.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and comfort with fitting and aligning components.
- 6+ months of manufacturing experience (mechanical assembly preferred).
- Ability to read work instructions, job packets, and basic technical documentation.
- Experience with deburring, grinding, and machine operation.
- Ability to perform visual inspections and use measuring/test equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to stand for the full shift and perform repetitive tasks.
- Consistent use of required PPE (eye protection, slip-resistant shoes, hearing protection).
- Effective communication skills for reporting issues and collaborating with leads and engineering.
Preferred Qualifications
- Additional mechanical assembly experience.
- Experience in a clean, organized manufacturing environment with standard work procedures.
- Familiarity with production documentation, including scrap tags.
- Comfort operating test stands and basic test equipment.
- Ability to support continuous improvement efforts.
- Strong teamwork mindset and reliability.

Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Minneapolis, MN.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.11 - $20.11/hr eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
