Overview
Assemble and inspect various mechanical, electro-mechanical assemblies, sub-assemblies, and/or final assemblies. Work from Dri Steem electronic documentation such as JOL, work instructions, prints, packing lists, sales orders, and verbal instructions in accordance with Dri Steem quality standards. Operate with integrity and consideration for all Dri Steem customers, suppliers, and employees to ensure a safe, supportive, and respectful work environment consistent with Dri Steem values, policies, and procedures.
ResponsibilitiesMechanical Assembly
- Work from electronic drawings and electronic JOLs to assemble product and inspect assembled units.
- Use hand or power tools, or fixtures as required to assemble product.
- Prepare parts as required by sanding, cutting, drilling, painting, etc.
- Work different workstations on assigned product line.
- Perform daily cycle count.
General Responsibilities
- Continuously strive for product and process improvements that meet or exceed our customer requirements as well as being compliant with ISO policies.
- Support Lean activities including Kaizen Events and 5S.
- Keep supervisor and Cell Lead informed of job-related problems and other information related to work activity including the Kaizen Newspaper.
- Maintain positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner so that you get along with customers, clients, vendors, co-workers, and management. Respectful and supportive interaction with others is expected.
- Ensure work area is maintained in a neat and orderly condition.
- Ensure all processes are safe for employees, ergonomically correct and comply with OSHA requirements.
- Report all safety concerns to their Lead, Supervisor or Safety Committee Member.
- Operate computer, tablet, and other electronic devices.
- Ability to lift, push, and pull moderate weights.
- Perform related work as apparent or assigned.
- High school education or equivalent.
- Prior work experience a plus.
- Basic computer knowledge such as ability to operate a computer, tablet, and any other form of electronic software.
- Work professionally and collaboratively with others.
- Multi-task in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Sense of urgency and a strong "hands-on" work ethic.
- Build strong and effective working relationships amongst the teams and with colleagues across functions.
- Work independently and be a self-starter.
- Detail oriented to ensure procedures are followed for consistency purposes such as safety and quality.
Compensation:
This role offers a pay range of $19.17 - $26.84/hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
