CNC Turning/Swiss Machinist Overview:
The CNC Turning/Swiss Machinist is a hands-on position and responsible for machining quality parts in accordance to ISO 9001.

CNC Turning/Swiss Machinist Pay: $29-$33/hour (Plymouth, MN)

CNC Turning/Swiss Machinist Shift: Monday - Thursday, 6am to 3:30pm and Friday, 6am to 10am. With overtime as required.

CNC Turning/Swiss Machinist Skills and

Qualifications:

• Technical Degree in Machining from a technical college or equivalent experience working on swiss equipment.
• 2+ years experience working with swiss machines
• Experienced in machine setup
• Technical knowledge of Citizen machines, Miyano and/or Tsugami machine knowledge and experience a plus
• Programming experience using Gibbs Cam or other similar software preferred
• Good problem solving skills
• Attention to detail

CNC Turning/Swiss Machinist

Key Responsibilities:

• Follow the manufacturing plan and projected schedule to meet company and customer expectations.
• Technical competencies of the role to include:
  • Setup and operation of Swiss turning centers
  • G-code programming
  • GD&T
  • Machining First Article ready parts
  • Ability to plan tooling required to complete a project.
• Ability to work with and train other employees.
• Ensure machine/area is clean, swept, and maintained before the end of every shift.
• Communicate clearly with other departments, managers, and quality to ensure consistent production.

Physical Requirements :

• Dexterity, physical strength, and physical stamina
• Standing, sitting, bending, lifting (up to 50 lbs.), carrying, reaching, pushing, and pulling.
