Perform welding by using a dispatch list for sequence of orders. Inspect welds by working off drawings, verbal instructions and other specifications for maximum productivity, cost effectiveness, and quality with minimum supervision.

Welding
  • Work from electronic drawings and electronic JOLs to weld and inspect product.
  • Debur parts using sander or debur machine.
  • TIG weld stainless steel material of a somewhat repetitive nature to meet production and quality standards.
  • MIG weld mild material.
  • Weld all products within assigned Cell.
  • Perform daily cycle count.
General Responsibilities
  • Strive for product and process improvements that meet or exceed our customer requirements as well as being compliant with ISO  policies.
  • Support Lean activities including Kaizen Events and 5S.
  • Keep supervisor and Cell Lead informed of job-related problems and other information related to work activity including the Kaizen Newspaper.
  • Maintain positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner so that you get along with customers, clients, vendors, co-workers, and management. Respectful and supportive interaction with others is expected.
  • Ensure work area is maintained in a neat and orderly condition.
  • Ensure all processes are safe for employees, ergonomically correct and comply with OSHA requirements.
  • Report all safety concerns to their Lead, Supervisor or Safety Committee Member.
  • Operate computer, tablet, and other electronic devices.
  • Lift, push, and pull moderate weights.
  • Perform related work as apparent or assigned.
Experience
  • High school education or equivalent.
  • Completion of two-year (18 month) welder trade program.
  • Two years related experience.
  • Must be able to pass written and visually demonstrate welding capabilities.
  • Ability to read weld prints.
  • Basic computer knowledge such as ability to operate a computer, tablet, and any other form of electronic software.
