Material Handler, Forklift Operator
Material Handler/Shipping Clerk
Maintains production and distribution of product by pulling orders from inventory and delivering production materials and supplies. Supports receiving, shipping, or other supply chain functions as needed.
Principal Responsibilities:
- Maintains inventory by identifying, labeling, and placing materials in the restricted storage locations; recording inventory location in the MRP system
- Pulls material from restricted storage locations, issues and verifies material listed on the production order or material request
- Verifies shop floor paperwork (SFP) after printing
- Physically moves material being issued from restricted storage locations to the production areas
- Physically moves in-house subassembly builds made for inventory from the production areas to the restricted storage location
- Responsible for material movement in the MRP system
- Delivers all material requests to the requisitioning area or informs the requisitioner of status
- Processes returned materials by verifying the material, batch number, and quantity; transacting the material back into stock
- Provides daily status of staged orders
- Receives incoming shipments, verifies contents, and prepares materials for shipping
- Operates Forklift and order picker (WAVE type lift)
- Performs other duties as assigned
Education / Experience Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED strongly preferred
- 1-2 years of work-related experience
- Excellent math, organizational and computer/data entry skills, detail oriented, and ability to work independently and in a team
- Preferred M/S office experience using Word, Excel, Power Point and other types of system databases
- Experience working with SAP or IFS System preferred
Specialized Skills / Other Requirements:
- Frequent standing, lifting, carrying, bending, walking and stretching
- Frequent climbing up and down mobile ladders
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs
- Basic computer skills and knowledge of current software package and programs
- Excellent attention to detail
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work well with others
- Knowledge of business math
- Knowledge of and ability to use various computer software programs
- Flexible schedule based on 2nd shift production hours
The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $38,600.00 to $54,000.00, however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position will also include benefits such as medical, prescription drug, dental, and vision insurance, flexible spending accounts, participation in 401(k) savings plan, and various paid time off benefits, such as PTO, short- and long-term disability and parental leave, dependent on the position offered.
