Press Setup & Run Machine Operator

Pay Rate: $24.00/Hour

Minneapolis, MN

Schedule:

2nd Shift Monday-Friday 3PM-Midnight overtime and some weekends required.

Position Type:
Temp to Hire

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience in the metal stamping industry.
• Two (2) years of manufacturing experience.
• Understand tolerances such as +/- .005.
• Strong math skills.
• Willingness to learn.
• Able to correctly measure using micrometer and calipers.
• Read, understand, and follow all policies, processes, and procedures.
• Strong command of the English language, including verbal and written communications.
• Proficient with basic computer skills.
• Lift up to 60 pounds.
• Stand for long durations of time.
• Use hands and fingers to operate hand tools.
  
  Loud work environment.
• Possess or be willing to purchase the required inspection and hand tools upon acceptance of the job offer.

• Read, understand, and follow work instructions and procedures.
• Understand and comply with QMS procedures and Work Instructions.
• Perform required shop math and inspection techniques.
• Consistently set-up all presses and accessory equipment ensuring optimum productivity in an acceptable time that meets customer quality specifications.
• Maintain production efficiencies of 80% or greater.
• Read, understand, and perform inspection procedures including in-process and statistical process control.
• Running strips of material.
• Feeding material through press.
• Operating press by pressing foot pedal.
• Data entry into computer. Company will train on software.
• Able to navigate computer and find files.
• Other duties as required.
