CNC Machinist II - Milling

Shift: 2nd Shift – 4:30 p.m. – 3:00 a.m. Monday–Thursday; 2:30 p.m. – 10:30 p.m. Friday.
Shift Differential: 20%.

Compensation: $29.00–$37.00 per hour, based on experience, skills, and education.

• Work from programming instructions, operational data and machine set‑up instructions to define and code tool arrangements, material clamping methods, machine calibrations, and console settings.
• Check parts for conformance to specifications.
• Operate more than one unit simultaneously when required.
• Apply broad knowledge of machining techniques and familiarity with CNC operational procedures.

Other duties may include activities that are not listed here. Reliable attendance is required.

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• 3 years of related experience.
• Ability to perform metric conversions.
• Must be able to read and understand blueprints, specifications, and routings.

• Associate degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two‑year college or technical school.
• 4 or more years of related experience.

Medium work. Work involves exerting 20‑50 pounds of force occasionally, 10‑25 pounds frequently, or less than 10 pounds constantly to move objects.

• Reach by extending hands and arms.
• Handle objects by seizing, holding, grasping, turning, or otherwise working with hands.
• Pick, pinch, or otherwise work primarily with fingers.
• Have near acuity with clarity of vision at 20 inches or less.
• Judge distances and spatial relationships (see objects three‑dimensionally).
• Stoop by bending body downward and forward requiring full use of lower extremities and back muscles.
• Kneel by bending legs at knees to come to rest on knees.
• Crouch by bending body downward and forward by bending legs and spine.
• Perceive attributes of objects, such as size, shape, temperature, or texture by touch.
• Hear by perceiving the nature of sounds by ear.
• Adjust vision to bring objects into sharp focus.
• Identify and distinguish colors.
