Manufacturing Technician
Location:
Minneapolis, MN Pay: $38/hour Job Overview We are seeking a skilled Manufacturing Technician to oversee equipment installation, machine control programming, and line troubleshooting. In this hands-on role, you will operate, configure, and maintain automated production machinery and CNC equipment within established operating guidelines. You will analyze production data, execute equipment repairs, and resolve daily operational issues to ensure high quality, throughput, and safety across the manufacturing floor.
Key Responsibilities Equipment Installation & Setup:
Complete installation, setup, and ramp-up activities for manufacturing machinery and automated line equipment. CNC & Machine Controls:
Configure parameters and operate machine control systems, including prescribed CNC programming, to set up machinery for production runs. Maintenance & Repair:
Perform routine repair, troubleshooting, and retesting for products, production tools, and manufacturing equipment. Data Analysis & Tracking:
Gather, record, and evaluate production metrics to identify line bottlenecks and process changes. Process Improvements:
Estimate equipment and tooling requirements resulting from process changes, developing or verifying technical instruction manuscripts for machine controls. Daily Operational Support:
Resolve emerging manufacturing and line equipment problems to minimize downtime and maintain steady daily operations. Qualifications & Requirements
Education & Experience:
2-year vocational/technical degree (or equivalent technical certification) plus up to 1 year of practical experience in a manufacturing or production environment. Technical Knowledge:
Basic theoretical and practical understanding of automated line processing, specialized machinery, and CNC parameter configuration. Troubleshooting
Skills:
Ability to diagnose mechanical or control issues using standardized work routines and established technical guidelines. Work Style:
Detail-oriented, quality-focused, and comfortable working with automated systems and specialized tools.
