- Write, edit and proof communications targeted to financial advisors and employees, including news articles and memos
- Create content for the Ameriprise newsroom, including feature stories, commentary, and story ideas
- Conduct research and interviews on current trends
- Review and edit communications
- Help the communications team develop strategies
- Assist in preparing Ameriprise spokespeople, including senior leaders and financial advisors
- Develop targeted media pitches for consumer and trade publications
- Participate in regularly scheduled calls with public relations agencies
- Assist with media outreach in local markets
- Current Junior at a 4-year university pursuing a bachelor's degree in communications, journalism, marketing or related field
- Graduation date of December 2027 or May/June 2028
- High degree of self-motivation with strong integrity and ethics
- Proven organization skills and ability to manage time effectively
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills
- Ability to work and communicate collaboratively and constructively with others
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
- Working knowledge of AI productivity tools (e.g., Microsoft Copilot) and their application to improve efficiency and support communications initiatives
- Valid work authorization that does not now, or in the future, require visa sponsorship for employment in the United States
Demonstrates strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to create and edit content for diverse audiences. Proficient in utilizing AI productivity tools and Microsoft Office Suite to enhance communication strategies and efficiency.
