Overview

Rapp Strategies Inc. is looking for a collaborative and energetic leader to join our senior team in Minneapolis. We are a Minneapolis‑based strategic communications and public affairs firm that helps clients navigate complex public issues, manage reputational risk, guide major projects, shape public policy discussions, and develop strategic plans across industries such as health care, education, transportation, energy, construction, economic development and public health.

While most work is in the Upper Midwest, we have managed projects from Oregon to Pennsylvania to Washington, D.C.

About you

We’re seeking an experienced communications professional and strategic thinker to lead client relationships, drive high‑impact initiatives and manage complex projects across private and public sectors, including companies, professional associations, nonprofits and various levels of government. You will collaborate with the CEO and senior team to shape the firm’s services and future direction.

Your background

  • Background in public affairs, strategic communications or related fields
  • Proven experience providing strategic counsel and project management
  • Passion for client‑centered work and building relationships
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills across a variety of media channels
  • Awareness and familiarity with the political landscape in Minnesota
  • Interest and curiosity about the evolving profession of strategic communications

Responsibilities
  • Leading client accounts and providing strategic counsel and work planning
  • Supporting the firm’s growth in existing services areas and geographies, and helping develop new trajectories
  • Expanding client relationships and developing business opportunities with new clients
  • Helping manage firm operations, including internal processes, resource planning and team coordination
  • Mentoring junior staff and contributing to a positive, inclusive culture
