Job Summary

The Project for Pride in Living (PPL) PEX Project Specialist serves as a central driver of execution across the Philanthropy & External Affairs (PEX) team. This role blends project management, advancement operations, and event leadership, to ensure priorities move forward efficiently and on time. This role plays a critical part in supporting PEX senior leadership and advancing key initiatives, including donor engagement efforts, events, campaigns, and strategic efforts such as the Minnesota State Housing Tax Credit (SHTC) program.

What

You’ll Do Advancement Operations Support (50%)
  • Support execution of donor-related processes, communications, and engagement efforts across the advancement team
  • Serve as a lead coordinator for key initiatives such as the Minnesota State Housing Tax Credit (SHTC) program, including tracking timelines, submissions, donor communications, and internal coordination
  • Provide operational and coordination support for donor events, working in partnership with the Donor Engagement Manager
Event Leadership & Execution (30%)
  • Lead planning and execution of PEX events including grand openings, groundbreakings, volunteer appreciation events, recognition events, and community engagements
  • Support donor and fundraising events in partnership with the Donor Engagement Manager, with a focus on execution, logistics, and coordination
  • Support run‑of‑show development and coordination of speakers and program elements
Project Management, Operations & Leadership Support (20%)
  • Lead coordination of PEX-wide systems (e.g., Asana) to support visibility, organization, and consistency across workflows
  • Support tracking and reconciliation of the PEX budget in partnership with CPEX and senior leadership
  • Coordinate quarterly budget reviews and support expense tracking, vendor invoicing, and finance coordination
What You Bring
  • Attention to detail and execution excellence
  • Proactive communication and follow‑through
  • Proven track record of managing projects and/or events from planning through execution
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, timelines, and stakeholders simultaneously
  • Experience coordinating across teams and influencing without direct authority
  • Experience with budget tracking, logistics, or operational coordination preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with project management tools (e.g., Asana) strongly preferred
Education/ Experience
  • 3–5 years of experience in project management, nonprofit operations, fundraising, events, or related fields.

$54,000-$57,000/annually
