- Serve as catechist as needed.
- Study and implement applicable Safe Environments procedures required by the Archdiocese’s Office for the Protection of Children and Youth (OPCY), ensuring that all events conducted by the parish follow best practices for the safety of children and youth.
- Provide names of all catechists and program volunteers to Cabrini’s Safe Environments Coordinator (SEC) no later than two weeks prior to the start of their duties to ensure that all catechists and volunteers can receive Essential 3 credentialing required by the OPCY prior to the start of their duties. This includes catechists and volunteers who may start mid-year.
- Share safe environment information with parents, and ensure that all students receive Personal Safety Lessons required by the OPCY during the fall session and report numbers of children who received Personal Safety Lessons to Cabrini’s SEC by May 1.
- Keep parent sign-in/out records for each class session and file as directed by Cabrini’s SEC.
