Milkweed Editions, one of the nation's leading independent book publishers, seeks a part-time Advancement Coordinator to manage donor data and support communications, events, and the membership program. Working closely with the Advancement Manager under the supervision of the VP, Advancement, the Advancement Coordinator will execute projects and processes fundamental to a successful comprehensive fundraising program.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Maintain donor and prospect records in Salesforce including contact and biographical information, relationships, prospect plans, and recent activity
- Create gift receipts and enter gift data in Salesforce and QBO
- Timely processing of gift acknowledgment letters and other donor communications
- Support membership program including list management and communications
- Coordinate, support, and staff advancement events including planning, logistics, technical and/or AV support, event-specific communications, and catering
- Coordinate and implement annual appeal mailings and other communications
- Facilitate book sends and other mailings
The ideal candidate will be a detail-driven, highly organized individual with strong writing and excellent interpersonal communication skills. Candidates should have some experience working in nonprofit fundraising. Proficiency in Salesforce NPSP and Quick Books Online is preferred.
This is a part-time, non-exempt position in Minneapolis, MN. Salary is targeted at $20-$22/hour, depending on experience, for 20 to 30 hours of in-person work per week.
