You will triage, assess, and stabilize patients with acute injuries and illnesses, administer medications, and collaborate with the healthcare team. Required qualifications include an active New York RN license, a nursing degree from an accredited program, and 1-2 years of recent emergency room experience.
Certifications such as Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) are required, with Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) preferred. Proficiency with electronic medical record (EMR) systems is recommended. The facility is a hospital with a collaborative culture and advanced emergency and trauma service lines.
