Job Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Level IV NICU position in Minnesota, requiring a minimum of 2 years of NICU experience and proficiency with advanced ventilation modalities.
Responsibilities- Level IV NICU in a hospital setting
- Patient population includes critically ill newborns, pre-term infants, and ELBW infants requiring advanced respiratory and surgical support
- Experience with assisted ventilation including high-frequency ventilators (JET and Oscillator), conventional vents, and non-invasive methods such as bubble CPAP, RAM cannula, and HFNC required
- Pre- and post-op care of critically ill newborns, including those with tracheostomies
- Day and night shifts available, with a primarily night shift schedule
- Every other weekend required
- Provide specialized nursing care to critically ill and premature newborns in a high-acuity Level IV NICU environment
- Permanent placement consideration may be explored upon contract completion
- Active MN RN license required
- Current BLS and NRP certifications required
- Minimum 2 years of Level IV NICU experience required
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Strong knowledge of developmental care principles
- Proficiency with advanced ventilatory support equipment including high-frequency ventilators, conventional vents, bubble CPAP, RAM cannula, and HFNC
