Job Overview

Martin Luther Care Center is seeking a Nursing Assistant/Registered (CNA/NAR) to support our residents in our Skilled Nursing Facility (Transitional Care and Long‑term care). This role provides hands‑on care and support services for our adult age patients at our spacious care center in Bloomington, MN.

This patient support position includes:

• 24 hours every two weeks
• Day Shift
• Includes every other weekend (Saturday/Sunday) and holiday rotations
• Paid time off and matching retirement

• Assists resident based on individual care plan with personal cares such as bathing, oral hygiene, grooming, toileting, dressing, showers and responding to call lights.
• Check and record vitals per community patient care model.
• Perform AM/PM/NOC cares, including peri care and catheter care.
• Turn, lift or transfer residents with or without other persons/mechanical assistance.
• Observe residents and report status to appropriate staff in a clear and concise manner.
• Chart or document in electronic medical record system.
• Seek to resolve resident and family concerns.
• Receive and give reports to appropriate staff during various times in work shift.
• Other duties such as ordering and cleaning rooms and work areas, reporting malfunctioning equipment to maintenance department, and answering phones in a timely manner.

• Active Nursing Assistant or Registered (NAR) on the MDH Nursing Assistant Registry by start date – or hired into Ebenezer’s Nursing Assistant Course or Pre‑CNA program; will be granted a 4‑month post‑hire period to become active on the Minnesota Nursing Assistant Registry.

• Ability to work with a diverse and geriatric population.
• Communicate efficiently, with compassion and understanding for residents and coworkers.
• Experience as HHA, PCA, DSP, NA, Resident Assistant.
• Work experience in a customer‑service setting.

An individual's pay rate within the posted range may be determined by various factors, including skills, knowledge, relevant education, experience, and market conditions.
