We are currently seeking a
** Staff Nurse
** to join our Interventional Radiology team.  This position is casual.
As a condition of this position, employees must make themselves available to work a minimum of one on-call shift every four-week scheduling period.

If you are currently in a benefit earning position and apply for this casual position you will be decreasing your current hours to casual with no benefits.*
* * Casual nurses are nurses who have no regular appointed scheduled hours (no assigned FTE). Nurses may not have a casual position and a regularly scheduled position within the same facility. Casual nurses must make themselves available to work a minimum of two (2) open 8-hour minimum length or the equivalent number of hours per four (4)-week scheduling period at straight time, a minimum of one shift must be a weekend shift.

Casual nurses must also make themselves available to work two (2) of the following holiday shifts per calendar year:
New Year's Day, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day. Holiday shifts must be full eight or twelve hour shifts. A minimum of one of the holidays must be a winter holiday (Thanksgiving, Christmas or New Year's).*

* ** RESPONSIBILITIES:
** Within the context of the Hennepin Healthcare System Patient and Family Centered Care model, and under general supervision, the registered nurse provides and coordinates nursing care by:

* Protecting, promoting, and optimizing health
* Preventing illness and injury
* Alleviating suffering through the treatment of the human response
* Partnering with the patient, their family and significant others
* Documenting interventions and an individualized plan of care

* Minimum Qualifications:

**
* * 2 years of recent Interventional Radiology professional nursing (RN) experience
* Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
* Possession of a valid license as a Registered Nurse issued by the State of Minnesota

* Preferred Qualifications:

**
* * Certification in area of clinical specialty
