Job Overview
Are you looking to make an impact on the physical, emotional and cultural needs of pediatric patients and their families? Join our team as a Pediatric ICU RN at the University of Minnesota Masonic Children’s Hospital!
The Pediatric ICU has 12 beds and works closely with the Pediatric CVICU on the same floor. Our patients range from newborns to young adults and include medical, surgical, transplant, neurology, pulmonary, ENT, hematology/oncology, orthopedic, and trauma cases. The unit offers a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:1 or 1:2.
This is a 0.75 FTE position (60 hours every two weeks) with day/night 12‑hour shifts and work every third weekend.
Responsibilities- Manage medication and infusion therapies.
- Provide care for patients undergoing diagnostic and therapeutic procedures/interventions on unit.
- Care for critically ill, trauma, and transplant patients and those requiring observation and monitoring.
- Safely employ monitoring devices including arterial lines, cardiac monitoring, and invasive and non‑invasive hemodynamic monitoring.
- MN RN licensure
- BLS certification
- BSN degree
- Pediatric specialty certification
- 1 year of pediatric ICU experience
