Job Overview

The Operating Room (OR) department provides full‑service surgical suites for a variety of specialties, including General, Pediatric, Neurosurgical, Orthopedic/Podiatric, Ophthalmologic, Gynecologic, Ear Nose and Throat, Oral/Maxillofacial, Dental, Reconstructive Plastic/Burn, Cardiovascular, Urologic, and Trauma. In addition to major surgical areas, the OR teams work with two vascular access rooms and two minor surgery suites, performing over 11,000 surgical procedures per year totaling nearly 1,200,000 surgical minutes.

• Protect, promote, and optimize patient health.
• Prevent illness and injury.
• Alleviate suffering through treatment of the human response.
• Partner with the patient, their family, and significant others.
• Document interventions and an individualized plan of care.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Two years of recent OR circulating experience as an RN, having held a permanent OR position within the last two years.
• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
• Valid license as a Registered Nurse issued by the State of Minnesota.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certification in a clinical specialty area.
• BSN Degree.
