Job Description
We are seeking a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join the MHealth Fairview Neurology team. This is an outpatient role and will be practiced primarily at the CSC and the Maple Grove Clinic locations. The APP will play a key role in delivering high-quality, patient-centered care to individuals with complex neuromuscular disorders, working collaboratively with neurologists, multidisciplinary specialists, and allied health professionals.
Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive evaluations, follow-up visits, and longitudinal management for patients with conditions such as ALS, myasthenia gravis, muscular dystrophies, peripheral neuropathies, and motor neuron diseases.
- Order and interpret laboratory studies, imaging, EMG/NCS results, and genetic testing in collaboration with supervising physicians.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans, including medication management, infusion therapy coordination, and symptom-focused interventions.
- Partner with physical therapy, occupational therapy, respiratory therapy, social work, and specialty nursing to support holistic patient care.
- Provide ongoing monitoring, patient education, and proactive management of disease progression and complications.
- Support clinical research activities, including patient recruitment, data collection, and protocol adherence, if research time is allocated.
- Monday - Friday
- No current weekend or holiday requirements
A qualified candidate will be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing and formal Nurse Practitioner training program or a graduate of an accredited Physician's Assistant program. Have a current MN RN license and be approved or eligible by the Minnesota Board of Nursing for prescription writing privileges or a current PA license with prescriptive authority through the MN Board of Medical Practice.
Be certified through ANCC/AANP or eligible for ANCC/AANP national exam or through the NCCPA and meet threshold criteria/qualifications for Credentialing and Privileges.
