Staff Nurse; RN - Emergency Department

SUMMARY

We are currently seeking a Staff Nurse to join our Emergency Department. This position is a 0.6 FTE (4 shifts/pay period), 12-hour shifts, nights, every third weekend.

• Protecting, promoting, and optimizing health
• Preventing illness and injury
• Alleviating suffering through the treatment of the human response
• Partnering with the patient, their family and significant others
• Documenting interventions and an individualized plan of care

Minimum Qualifications:

• 1 year of current ED professional nursing (RN) experience
• or 1 year of current ICU (including neonatal or pediatric ICU) professional nursing (RN) experience
• or 3 years of current inpatient Med/Surg professional nursing (RN) experience
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications
• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
• Possession of a valid license as a Registered Nurse issued by the State of Minnesota

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certification in area of clinical specialty (CEN, TNCC, CTRN, CPEN, or CFRN)
• BSN Preferred – Bachelor of Nursing degree is strongly encouraged. Advancement in academic education will be discussed as part of individual professional development during the annual performance review.
