The Minneapolis Primary Care Clinic has an opening for a 0.8 FTE Pediatric Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join their team. The clinic is a hospital‑based pediatric primary care facility offering outpatient services to infants through adolescents from urban and suburban metro areas. Families receive care in a range of languages. The clinic provides well‑child care, walk‑in care, educational and outreach programs, and manages acute and chronic childhood illnesses, including weight‑inclusive, culturally competent, and trauma‑informed care.
- Providers manage complex medical and psychosocial issues, offer nutritional, developmental, and behavioral guidance, and deliver services such as well‑child care, sports physicals, and acute & chronic illness management.
- Staff receive wrap‑around services: integrated behavioral health, interpreter services, a clinical pharmacist on‑site, adolescent and gender health providers, and community navigation through “Community Connect.”
- Clinic volume: approximately 20 000 visits annually with 9 physicians and 5 nurse practitioners.
- Preferred language proficiency:
Somali or Spanish. - Applicants must hold a lactation consultation certification from IBCLE or commit to obtaining certification within two years.
- Schedule:
Monday‑Friday, 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. (hours and schedule will depend on applicant preferences that fit clinic needs). - APPs do not cover call.
Current MN RN/APRN license. Nationally board certified as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (PNPB or ANCC). Doctorate degree in Nursing Practice preferred.
Physician Assistant RequirementsGraduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program. Certification by NCCPA and MN Medical Board license required. Current BLS certification.

Benefits and SalaryThe posted salary represents a market‑competitive range based on benchmark data. Compensation is determined by market indicators, skills, education, training, credentials, experience, internal equity, and organizational needs. Eligible for medical, dental, vision, retirement, and other fringe benefits. Night, weekend or on‑call work may qualify for shift differentials or premium pay.
