Job SummaryProvides help with all aspects of patient care, including diagnosis, treatments, and consultations as part of a physician/nurse team. Works within a Specialty Care team in both inpatient and outpatient settings, performing independently or as part of the treatment team to ensure continuity of patient care in all settings. Serves as an educator, case manager, consultant to staff, and multidisciplinary health care team.
Key Responsibilities- Provides clinical care for patients.
- Completes comprehensive patient assessments.
- Determines diagnosis and treatment of illness.
- Orders and interprets medical diagnostics in tandem with attending physician.
- Prescribes medications, treatments, therapy, and medical equipment.
- Conducts patient education for chronic illness or wellness care.
- Refers for specialty care when necessary.
- Consults with physician when patient needs outside of scope are unclear.
- Participates in health care team communication and interdisciplinary collaboration.
- Acts as a resource to team members and collaborates with hospital staff and primary care team for program development.
- Participates in research activities when opportunity is available.
- Acts as liaison with outside agencies as needed.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Functional Medicine Shift: Day (United States of America) – 8 hour shift, 40 hours per week, Non-Union contract. No weekend rotation.
Qualifications- Master's degree.
- Completion of accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
- Minimum 2 years of Integrative Medicine or Functional Medicine experience providing consultations.
- Licensed Registered Nurse (MN Board of Nursing) upon hire.
- Certified Nurse Practitioner – ANCC (American Nurse Credentialing Center) upon hire.
- Certification within specialty upon hire.
- ACLS-BLS Tier 2 certification within 180 days.
- Drug Enforcement Administration certification upon hire.
Medium work:
Lifting weight up to 32 lbs occasionally (Allina Safe Patient Moving Policy) and up to 25 lbs frequently.
Pay Range: $56.48 to $78.15 per hour. Starting rate depends on experience, education, and union agreement. Shift, weekend, and other differentials may be available to increase pay rate for certain shifts or work.
