About the PositionWe are seeking a qualified Trauma Surgery Nurse Practitioner for a 60‑day assignment beginning May 4, 2026. This role involves 10‑hour shifts from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., focusing on comprehensive patient management including ventilator management, chest tube and line insertions, suturing minor lacerations, responding to trauma alerts, facilitating discharges, ER admissions, and daily rounding for all patient conditions without hospitalist support.
Responsibilitiesand Duties
- Non‑invasive ventilator management (BIPAP/CPAP)
- Ventilation management
- Chest tube insertion
- Central line placement
- Suturing minor lacerations
- Respond to the ED for trauma alerts
- ER admissions
- Daily rounding and management of all conditions - we do not use hospitalists.
- Fully able to be attending on all patient conditions
