Overview

Perioperative Nurse Manager opportunity for an experienced RN leader to elevate surgical care in a high trust environment. As an OR Nurse Manager you will step into a program where patient safety results and team growth are visible every day

This Community Medical Center delivers surgical care across inpatient and outpatient settings with a focus on reliability. The Perioperative Nurse Manager will lead in a hospital that values shared governance and strong nursing practice. Accreditations include DNV and recognition for orthopedic and spine quality which supports the Perioperative Services Manager in driving standards. Modern OR suites feature enhanced sterilization systems and evidence‑based protocols.

The Perioperative Nurse Manager reports to the Chief Nursing Officer. As an Operating Room Nurse Manager this leader supervises pre‑op, OR, and PACU nurses, surgical technologists, and unit coordinators. The role partners with anesthesia leaders, surgeons, sterile processing, and a surgical business manager to deliver seamless operations.

Responsibilities
  • Supervise pre‑op, OR, and PACU nurses, surgical technologists, and unit coordinators.
  • Partner with anesthesia leaders, surgeons, sterile processing, and surgical business manager.
  • Guide a multi‑suite perioperative service with a diverse case mix including ortho, spine, general, and ENT.
  • Strengthen clinical practice through education, mentorship, and competency validation across pre‑op, intra‑op, and PACU.
  • Advance quality improvement, infection prevention, and survey readiness under AORN, ASPAN, and DNV standards.
  • Direct operations with staffing, budgeting, scheduling, and case coordination to support safe throughput and strong resource use.
  • Build collaborative relationships with surgeons, anesthesia, vendors, and lead equipment evaluation and policy development.
