Clinical Role
Join a nationally recognized healthcare system in Minneapolis, Minnesota, providing inpatient hematology and oncology services in a large tertiary care hospital. This locums opportunity offers a full-time weekday schedule with a strong focus on hematology, including both benign and malignant hematologic disorders.

Coverage Needed:
- Full-time coverage
- Monday through Friday
Schedule:
- Day shifts
- 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
Position Highlights

- No infusion center responsibilities

Clinical Details & Responsibilities
Practice Setting:
- Inpatient hospital
Hospital Information:
- 686-bed facility
Department:
- Hematology/Oncology
Patient Volume:
- Approximately 11-16 patients per day
Patient Population:
- All ages
Clinical Responsibilities:
Hematology Position:
- Management of benign hematologic disorders
- Management of malignant hematologic disorders
- Inpatient hematology consultation and follow-up
- Familiarity with bone marrow transplant services preferred
Oncology Position:
- Inpatient oncology patient management
- Collaborative care with hematology and oncology physicians
Special Procedures:
- Inpatient hematology services only
- No infusion center coverage responsibilities
Support & Technology
EMR System:
- Epic
Support Staff:
- APP support available during daytime inpatient coverage
- Physician and multidisciplinary team support
- No APP support for call or weekend coverage
Requirements
- Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant certification
- Required - Active Minnesota license
- Required - Candidates with Compact License willing to obtain Minnesota licensure will be considered
- BLS Certification
- Required - ACLS Certification
- Required - Experience managing hematology patients with benign and malignant conditions
- Required - Strong hematology experience highly preferred
